Lobban Sparkling Shiraz NV

The Lobban Sparkling Shiraz is an original Spanish sparkling red wine produced by Scottish winemaker Pamela Geddes. 

Made from shiraz harvested in the 2018, this wine spends18 months on lees before it it is disgorged. In the glass, this sparkling red has a vibrant garnet colour with a spicy fruit driven nose layered with hints of chocolate and vanilla. Black fruits dominate the flavour profile and the wine is well balanced with a long finish. The dosage (27g/L) is a licor of monastrell aged in oak, giving the wine a touch of sweetness along with some savoury spice.  

This sparkling wine is produced by the traditional method - the same process used in Champagne - whereby the base wine is made bubbly by a second fermentation in bottle.
