Our Story

It started with a "holdiay" in Champagne. Althought ostensibly a leisure a trip, visits to a handful of producers were inevitable (we're a winemaking family afterall). What we didn't anticipate, was that it would see us start a small import business. 

Pimpernel Fine Wine Imports - PFWI for short - is a family-owned and operated business, specialising in sourcing artisanal wines for import to Australia. We bring to bear decades of shared industry experience, having successfully established our own vineyards and winery, Pimpernel Vineyards in the Yarra Valley. 

Since our first accidental wine buying trip to Champagne, we have returned to Europe, seeking out winegrowers who share our values. This includes a growing portfolio of still and sparkling imports, with a focus on independent, vineyard-focused producers that are making wines of complexity and character. ​
